  • Two months ago I made my first trip to 'the real Africa’. I visited Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. The trip was just incredible and so different from all other journeys I have made in my life. In Zambia and Botswana I went on a safari. The goal o my trip to Zimbabwe was to visit the famous Victoria Falls.
Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It has been described by CNN as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world.

While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 metres and height of 108 metres resulting in the world's largest sheet of falling water.

When I visited the Falls after the region’s summer rains it was quite difficult to admire it from the ground, because of all the mist and splashing water. So I decided to take a helicopter flight to see it from the above. It was an incredible experience! Here are my photos from Zimbabwe.

In August and September I will show you some other photos I took in Botswana and Zambia, so please visit my website again!
